Troupis Winery represents the new, independent wine world of Mantinia in the heart of the Peloponnese. The family-run winery is located in Fteri on the Mantinia plateau, at an altitude of about 700 meters – a cool wine region characterized by its high elevation and significant temperature differences, where the vines develop exceptional freshness, aromatic precision, and finesse. The Troupis family has been cultivating its own vineyards since the 1970s. In 2010, they established the winery in its current form and began to consistently reinterpret the potential of the indigenous Moschofilero grape variety. Today, Moschofilero vines are central to their approximately seven hectares of vineyards; additionally, the estate focuses on Assyrtiko as well as experimental plantings and forgotten local varieties such as Kolliniatiko. In the vineyard, the focus is on gentle cultivation, low yields, and a precise understanding of Mantinia's special conditions. In the cellar, Troupis combines artisanal curiosity with minimal intervention: spontaneous fermentations with wild yeasts, varying maceration times, and aging in concrete, ceramic, oak, and acacia barrels allow each cuvée to express its unique character. This results in distinctive wines with Greek origins and a contemporary signature – aromatic and crystal clear, fresh and structured, from elegant Moschofilero to exciting Assyrtiko, fine rosé, and characterful red wine.
